Victoria&#8217;s nightie billows behind her as she holds on for her life.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>-from<em><strong> Queen Of The Godforsaken<\/strong><\/em> by Mix Hart<\/p>\n<p>I treated my niece and my daughter to western horseback riding lesson for Artemis&#8217; birthday present. Artemis asked to be called Taco at the ranch and the girls&#8217; riding instructor, Nancy, obliged. The girls were naturals. I thank Nancy from Myra Canyon Ranch for her riding expertise and patience with the newbie riders.<\/p>\n<p>Myra Canyon Ranch is gorgeous\u2014with valley views and surrounded by alpine fir forests. While we were there, 6 bald eagles circled above us! As much as I enjoy the excitement of cities, I admit, my soul is that of a country girl and I am never happier than when I am surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n<p>Myra Canyon Ranch reminded me of that blissful feeling I had as a youth, living a life surrounded by wild spaces, horses and animals of all sorts: bliss.<\/p>\n<p>I grew up riding horses and have always wanted each of my daughters to experience horses for themselves.
