Off To Explore a Mystical Forest with 1200 Year Old Trees,<\/h3>\n

Explore Mystical Valley, Mix Hart<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A quick note to say I’m off this morning in search of a mystical valley<\/strong> with my youngest daughters and Peter.<\/p>\n

We have sketchy directions to a mountain lodge that no longer exists and then, apparently, there’s a rough mountain bike trail for 13 km to the trail head that leads to this mystical rainforest with 1200 year old trees: The Incomapleaux Valley. We’ve explored the northern tip of the rainforest last summer.<\/a><\/p>\n

There is so little information on the valley that we plan to explore and it is grizzly\/cougar country so, I’m leaving this calling card to let the world know where to look for us if we fail to return! Though, I have faith we will find the right trails and the magnificent, old growth, one-of-a-kind on Earth, inland temperate rainforest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope the BC government hasn’t decimated it first! If you can believe it, this rare gem of ancient forest is nearly completely logged–gone!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
