Autumn has arrived in BC, and thankfully, the lower elevations are snow free; thus, I wanted to post my Sutherland Waterfall pictures before winter hits. The falls are so easy to access that they’re worth a trip this fall.<\/p>\n

The spectacular falls are tucked inside Blanket Creek Campground, near Revelstoke, BC. In August of this past summer, we tented at Blanket Creek, woke up in the early morning, and biked to the waterfall.<\/p>\n

We arrived at Blanket Creek campground late in the evening and all the tent sites were full. We were forced to camp on a stretch of grass with other tenters in “overflow” camping. At first, we were disappointed not to have our own private tent site; however, it was actually a stroke of luck because we had to share a fire pit with fellow tenters and it was so much fun chatting with other travellers around the camp fire at night.<\/p>\n

There is something about witnessing the elegant power of a natural waterfall that makes for an epic day out!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The forest framing Sutherland Falls is the “one and only” inland temperate rainforest\u2014a fairytale forest filled with cedar, fir, and spruce trees, ferns and moss.<\/p>\n
