Take Action."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mixhart.ca\/blog\/?attachment_id=2597\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2597\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2597\" alt=\"IMG_6726\" src=\"http:\/\/mixhart.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_6726-1024x799.jpg\" width=\"630\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.mixhart.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_6726-1024x799.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.mixhart.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_6726-300x234.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>For children, it&#8217;s the process of creating and believing in a dream that&#8217;s more important than the final outcome.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>My youngest daughter Pippi is wild for animals. <strong>She told me the other day that she&#8217;s going to live in the wilderness with all the wild animals and 999,000 pets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She and her cousin Artemis decided to start a pet business (see poster above). The business is based on pet care. <strong>She thought we&#8217;d house all the neighbourhood pets at our house and care for them when their owners were away<\/strong>. I reminded her of our dog Pablo&#8217;s desire to stalk little creatures and thought it best for the business if Pippi travelled within the neighbourhood and looked after the pets in their own homes.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Artemis and Pippi love animals so much, they want to do the business for free. I explained that a free business is okay, but her business should be limited to feeding and\/or walking small pets when the owners are away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pippi went to work, diligently creating poster after poster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I like to encourage all of my daughter&#8217;s dreams; so, I agreed to help her put the posters on mail boxes. I used my name and phone number to direct any actual calls she receives to me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pippi&#8217;s learning leadership.<\/strong> After completing several posters for our neighbourhood, she promptly called her cousin to see how her posters were doing. When Artemis said she hadn&#8217;t put any up yet, <strong>Pippi was all business: Artemis had to get out there and put them up, <em>now<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When no calls were forth coming, I explained to her that sometimes business is like that. It can take years to get things off the ground.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, as things stand now, the business is advertised but not booming.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Her first client is a big one though, her auntie ( a vet) has hired her to work in her clinic this summer helping \u00a0taking care of all of the over night patients.<\/p>\n<p>I guess, in business, this saying is true:<strong> It&#8217;s not who you know; It&#8217;s who knows you!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For children, it&#8217;s the process of creating and believing in a dream that&#8217;s more important than the final outcome.
