My daughter Tabitha found a fabulous way to turn old, incandescent light bulbs into stunning works of art! She and her friend Makaila spent an afternoon creating these beautiful mini, glass water-gardens and hanging glass-bobbles.<\/p>\n

\nOur province has 180 wildfires burning at once. It isn’t that healthy to do high-cardio out door sports with the current air quality (I have asthma). The light bulb \u00a0art project is the perfect activity for summer time amusement on such smokey summer days!<\/p>\n

Tabs found the craft idea on Pinterest and then found a non-related video on YouTube.com that explained how to remove the seal and electrical innards from the bulb (needle-nose pliers and a screw driver). If your bulbs are frosted, Tabitha recommends filling the bulb with salt and shaking it until the salt strips the interior of the bulb clean.\u00a0Let there be light bulb art to brighten your home! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

*<\/span><\/em><\/strong>Obviously, because of the risk of being cut by the light bulb glass, I don’t recommend this craft for children under middle-school age and even middle-schoolers will need to be supervised by an adult.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
