Cousins: Tabs and Nem<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

My daughter Tabs and her cousin Nem have spent part of their summer taking sailing, windsurfing and paddle board lessons on Okanagan Lake with The Central Okanagan Sailing Association (COSA). Sailing is their favourite. The girls take turns being the skipper and captain. They enjoy sailing so much that they want to start racing together next summer.<\/p>\n

Sailing is\u00a0the perfect way to get around on the water; \u00a0it combines nature and sports. I encourage my family to do sports that require one to use their own steam to get around\u2014good for our health and the environment.<\/p>\n

Motorized water vehicles often ruin nature\u2014they are noisy, pollute the air and water and are a danger to those who like to be active in the water. When I visited Cuba, what I loved about being on the water was\u00a0simply the peacefulness of the ocean\u2014no motor boats, no jet skis. Water sports are limited to natural sports like kite surfing, sailing, wind surfing, diving etc….Peace<\/em>…<\/p>\n
