I spent this year’s birthday on a bike trip with my family (my eldest daughter Mist, couldn’t come as she had to work. Though, she celebrated with us in the evening at a picnic enjoying an outdoor opera).<\/p>\n

We drove to Hope, BC and explored the Othello Tunnels along the Coquihalla Gorge. The scenery was spectacular: turquoise mountain rivers, steep rock gorges, thick moss and fern covered forests.<\/p>\n

The tunnels were amazing. If you follow my blog, you know I’m a big fan of Kettle Valley Railway<\/a> history and also of hiking and biking along the abandon trail lines. Exploring the Othello Tunnels was on my unofficial bucket list.<\/p>\n

We biked through the tunnels \u00a0and continued along a forest trail and then down to the rocky beach of the river below, where we had a picnic. It was the perfect day, surrounded by nature. I hope you enjoy the pics of our bike trip:<\/p>\n
