My family is getting ready to travel to a place that National Geographic calls “the most biodiverse place on earth.”
We are embarking on a pure jungle wilderness vacation. Peter and I are taking our three daughters deep into the jungle for ten days. We have one month to get ready. After much research and travel vaccinations the most important items that we’re bringing are: Deet, sunscreen and rubber boots (locals wear these jungle hiking–easy to cross streams and they stop snakes bites on the lower leg). Can you guess where we’re going?
Hint#1 It is only accessible by boat on this river:

This is what lives in the river at the base of our vacation property:

Hint #2 The river begins in the mountains and weaves its way through the country’s largest mangrove tree swamps before opening to the South Pacific Ocean.
Hint #3 This is where we will live:

This is what the inside of our house looks like (solar powered):

Hint #3 These creatures will be our neighbours:

Hint# 4 It is located near (bordering) the South Pacific Ocean:

It will be interesting– I just hope not too crazy with all the gals and the medi centre so far away. Stocking up on “just in case” antibiotics as it looks like Pip won’t have all her dental work completed by then and we don’t want a toothache in the jungle!
