North America is a huge continent. Our land mammals range from polar bears to iguanas and beyond. On a trip to the Island of Cozumel, Mexico to celebrate my daughter Pippi’s 18th birthday, we encountered a large colony of iguanas living amongst the costal rocks. They are adorable creatures and we had much fun watching their antics. I am happiest outside, in nature; when I travel, I look for the places with the most bountiful wild creatures and old growth indigenous forests to visit. Cozumel’s jungles are disappearing and along with it, their jungle species. However, we were thrilled to find crocodiles, iguanas, pelicans, starfish, turtles and coati on the stunning island.
